CORIG, histoire d'une méthode en informatique de gestion

Jean-Louis PEAUCELLE

Abstract

Robert Mallet, founder of the CGI, Compagnie Générale d'Informatique, a software company, invented the method CORIG about 1960. This method to computerize the administrative procedures allowed the success of its company. Following this method, CGI created generators of COBOL programs and some packages. This method strongly associates the organizational concepts in offices and the computer features. Its essential characteristics are pointed out here. It contributed to the birth of the method Merise, largely diffused in France.
