This article emphasizes the links between economic intelligence and network. To some extent, a company can open up itself without and within depending on whether it can see an opportunity to get some information or a threat of information "piracy". Four more or less pronounced possible configurations of economic intelligence practice are identified. Relying on a survey carried out among 75 companies, it is shown that one of these aspects is favoured by the small and medium-size companies. As a conclusion this article advocates a kind of "economic intelligence" based on tangled configurations rather than on an exclusive use of one of them. How to Cite
