This paper aims to describe IS urbanization practices in French SMEs. The communication is essentially based on Markus broad categories approach (2000, 2001). It presents and explains the case of both federated systems and integrated systems. Finally concerning urbanization choices this article insists on IT architecture especially Software bridge and Enterprise systems.How to Cite
