Abstract

What is software piracy? What is not? For software producers, as well as for many IS researchers, law dictates in these matters. We have searched the views of computer professionals and found that they tend to disagree with the formers. For our respondents, context matters and pragmatism as well as a clear distinction between the domestic and the private spheres prevail upon economic imperatives and laws.
