Abstract

This research explores the dominant managerial roles of the ERP project leader and compares the exercise of these roles with those played in traditional projects. The results show that transformational roles are significantly more dominant in ERP projects than in the traditional projects, in particular with regard to the roles of facilitator, mentor, and liaison agent.
