Submissions
Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.- The submission has not been previously published, nor under evaluation at an other journal. The journal asks for the article exclusivity: the same article cannot be submitted simultaneously to different journals.
- All authors of the article submitted have significantly contributed to the research. Authorship requires taking accountability for content, consenting to publication, giving contractual assurances about the integrity of the work. These are uniquely human responsibilities that cannot be undertaken by Large Language Models (LLMs), Generative Artificial Intelligence (Gen AI), such as ChatGPT. Therefore, LLM and Gen AI tools must not be listed as an author.
- Where authors use Large Language Models (LLMs), Generative Artificial Intelligence (Gen AI) or other AI tools as a tool in their research design and research execution, their use must be acknowledged and documented appropriately in the Methodological section of the article. Where authors use Large Language Models (LLMs), Generative Artificial Intelligence (Gen AI) or other AI tools in the article writing process, these tools should only be used to improve readability and language of the work, and their use must be acknowledged and documented appropriately in the Declaration of use of Generative Artificial Intelligence technologies.
- All authors of the article submitted commit themselves to participating in the peer review process of at least three other works submitted by other authors.
- The article respects the copyrights of the sources used and cited (e.g. figures, tables, photographs, illustrations, trade literature and data).
- All authors commit themselves to provide retractions or correction of mistakes
- The article and the cover letter are written in French or English. Title, keywords and abstract should be written in French and in English. The evaluation process will take place in the language of the article, and the article will be published in its original language. Any submission in English by non-native English speakers will have to be professionally copy-edited at authors’ cost before final acceptance. No other fee or charge will be required from authors for manuscript processing and/or publishing.
- Any financial support will have to be notified.
- The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements of the Journal, detailed in the template file to be used as stylesheet.
- All submitted files are in Microsoft Word or RTF document file format.
- All submitted files (excepted the cover letter) are anonymous (no name of the authors in the article nor in the file properties).
Empirical research
In the "Research Article" section, articles should be built on solid theoretical frameworks and methodological foundations (literature review, justification and description of the method...) to propose original and significant contributions to information systems management. As the main section of the journal, articles can be of different types: theoretical articles for the development of a theory, articles that empirically test or illustrate a theoretical framework, literature reviews that offer new research perspectives.
The maximum length is 30 pages (applying the journal stylesheet template). Supplementary appendix exclusively online is possible.
Teaching case studies
Guidelines to submission to the section "teaching case studies"
1. Introduction / History
In the 1920s, Harvard Business School developed the "case method", a pedagogical approach based on the study of real-life situations. This method aims to develop in learners an in-depth understanding of organizational dynamics, as well as analytical, synthetic and decision-making skills. By exposing students to complex, real-world cases, this approach encourages them to examine issues from a variety of angles, taking into account the contextual factors, opportunities and limitations inherent in each situation. The aim is to stimulate critical thinking and encourage the development of relevant and appropriate solutions, without resorting to predefined answers.
2. Objectives of publishing a teaching case study
1. The case studies to be published are intended to serve knowledge transfer objectives, integrating the most advanced and recent scientific knowledge in the field of MIS (What does the case study add to the theory?)
2. Each case should focus on a particular theme, enabling the practical application of theoretical concepts, models or tools, which should be clearly explained (What does the theory bring to the case?)
3.The case must correspond to a real-life professional situation, be based on real data (primary or secondary) and be rooted in current management issues. Each case must therefore be contextualized (managerial, technological, informational, organizational and relational context).
4. Each case should be didacticized and problematized.
5. Two types of cases may be submitted: (A) Decision-making case: presentation of a management problem requiring a decision and action plan: these cases are often formulated in the manner of a story, in which the student is led to identify possible solutions, make a choice and see to its application. (B) Analytical case: description of an organizational situation that lends itself to an analysis aimed at illustrating a management issue, making a diagnosis, etc. Emphasis is placed on describing an organization or its business context,
3. Sections of the "teaching case study" article
Introduction: briefly present the organization, the issues raised, and the managerial, scientific and pedagogical interest of the case. (approx. 1 page)
Literature review: this part (approx. 3 pages) consists of a literature review of existing academic articles on the case's themes, with particular emphasis on recent research and emerging issues. In addition, a literature review of research or teaching cases can be included to refine the positioning of the proposed case.
Case statement: this part (approx. 12 pages - excluding appendices) presents the case statement, which includes the main text, appendices and questions. It is structured from the most general to the most specific.
Pedagogical objectives and analysis methodology: this section sets out the pedagogical objectives of the case, including the development of analytical skills and the ability to apply theoretical concepts to practical situations. Secondly, it proposes a methodology for handling the case. This involves specifying how to analyze the case using the theoretical knowledge set out in the first part.
Short bibliography

Opinions
The "Opinions" section aims to present an opinion, discuss a paradox or forecast issues likely to be of interest to our community. Articles in this section should either initiate reflection, or even debate, within our community, or open up new areas of discussion, close down outdated areas and/or offer fresh perspectives on research topics of importance to the discipline. These opinions must be clearly argued and rigorously constructed, and/or relying on scholarly evidence and will be subject to the usual evaluation process. They serve a purpose, or address a clear objective important in IS.
The evaluators and the editorial board will be careful to maintain a high standard for these articles, which will be expected to present the proposed issue clearly, give a rigorous conceptual framework, develop the chosen argumentation, describe the implications and any empirical evidence.
More precisely, an opinions article should:
• Identify and explain the objective(s) (paradox/topic/issue(s)/challenges) that the paper aims to address in clear and accessible terms.
• Provide appropriate conceptual frameworks for the paradox/topic/issue(s)/ challenges.
• Offer opinions and supportive arguments.
• Describe the implications of these opinions to research, practice, and/or education.
• Where appropriate, include empirical evidence and the method used.
Opinion papers may be shorter than empirical research papers and must not exceed 30 pages in length (applying the journal stylesheet template). Supplementary appendix exclusively online is possible.

Methodology research
The "methodological research" section welcomes articles that make significant methodological contributions to information systems research. Articles submitted under this section should discuss the conditions of application, limitations and opportunities of tried-and-tested methodologies, or propose innovative methodologies. Particular attention will be paid to the logical and documented articulation of arguments to extract a methodological contribution in order to help researchers mobilize the methodology discussed to conduct their own research.
The maximum length is 30 pages (applying the journal stylesheet template). Supplementary appendix exclusively online is possible.

Copyright Notice
The author bears the responsibility for checking whether material submitted is subject to copyright or ownership rights (e.g. figures, tables, photographs, illustrations, trade literature and data). The author will need to obtain permission to reproduce any such items, and include these permissions with their final submission.
It is our policy to ask all contributors to transfer for free the copyright in their contribution to the journal owner. There are two broad reasons for this:
- ownership of copyright by the journal owner facilitates international protection against infringement of copyright, libel or plagiarism;
- it also ensures that requests by third parties to reprint or reproduce a contribution, or part of it, in either print or electronic form, are handled efficiently in accordance with our general policy which encourages dissemination of knowledge within the framework of copyright.
In conformity with the French law, the author keeps the 'moral rights' related to the article:
- The 'authorship right': It is the author's right to have his name associated with each publication and exploitation of the article.
- The 'integrity right': It can be claimed by the author if he finds that during an exploitation, his work has been distorted (cutting, reassembly...).
