THE INTEGRATION OF A TECHNOLOGY INTO A RELIGIOUS ORGANIZATION. THE CASE OF THE INTERNET AND DOMINICANS: THE “RETRAITE DANS LA VILLE” EXPERIMENTATION
Keywords:
Community, Religious Organization, Internet, PracticeAbstract
The Dominican Order, a centuries-old religious organization, is focused on the preaching practice. Characterized by specific symbols, it has adapted itself to different technologies over time. This research analyses how the Internet has transformed the processes of this organization. We highlight that the Internet has been integrated into both the Dominican-specific practices and the organizational processes. The Dominican Order has also identified some limitations.
